Summer Work: I gave my students some summer drawing assignments to keep their brains from turning into oatmeal and this is what I've gathered so far. I gave Mallory a magazine ad and had her cut it in half and paste it into her journal. She then had to draw the other half of the face. Faces are not easy and drawing symetrically is definately not one of my strengths, so of course, I make my students do it. I think she has done a nice job on this, but it is indeed a work in progress. (I think she owes me two more drawings by the time school starts.)
